Factory Five Installs New CNC Machine

I’m super proud of the operations team as they completed a week of installation and training of our new Eastman Eagle S125 CNC trimming machine. Huge thanks to Khalid from Eastman Company for all of the great work this week. Factory Five Engineer Jesper I. did a great job on machine selection.

This new machine replaces our 13-year-old CNC trimmer, and promises faster and more accurate trimming of composite fabrics, carpeting, headliners, and more. The machine is part of an effort to update our tools and equipment, and give our crew the latest technology.

The new CNC table is in the composites molding area and will feed raw materials to the lay-up room.

Khalid was not only an expert on the machine, but he was also really fun to work with.

On Friday morning, the machine was 100% operational and cutting glass matte.

Terry L.’s Hot Rod Earns Top Custom Car

At Factory Five, we try to help customers build their car their way, and with the ’33 Hot Rod, there’s lots of ways to do just that.
