Alex M.’s Roadster Earns September POM

September’s Picture of the Month goes to Alex M. (@alexmak on The Factory Five Forum) and his stunning Mk4 Roadster (FFR #F5R1009815RD), captured during its first car wash of the fall season in sunny southeast Pennsylvania. Shot on an iPhone 16 Pro Max with standard settings and the “Amber” style applied, the photo was taken on a picture-perfect Saturday morning in Alex’s driveway.

Built by Alex alongside his son, this Roadster is a true family project, featuring a 347 cu in carbureted BluePrint engine, TKO600, IRS, and power steering. The complete kit was ordered in January 2020, delivered in March, titled in August, and fully finished by July 2021. It officially graduated on October 6, 2021!

Paul H. and his Mk4 Earn 2nd Place at Spokane Speed!

Customer Paul H. from Spokane, WA took home 2nd Place in the Handbuilt Sports Car Class at this year’s Spokane Speed and Custom Car Show! Paul purchased his Mk4 Roadster (chassis #9847) in June 2020, and built the car with his son after attending the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College. They built the Mk4 with a 5.0 Coyote from a 2013 F150, Trememc 2650, IRS, 17″ Halibrand wheels, vinyl dash with glovebox, leather seats, and vintage gauges. Mk4 Customers Chris and Wendy D. Visit Factory Five

It was a pleasure to host Mk4 Chris and Wendy D. from Navarre. FL at Factory Five this week! Chris built a Mk4 Roadster the other year, and was also featured in Coastal Lifestyle Magazine. Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror.
