The Summer of The Coupe

This summer, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting many visitors who were captivated by the Type 65 Coupe. Nicola and his nephew chatted with us about building one. Rick and his wife visited to sit in one. Ethan, Gabriel, Gavin, and Izzy, a fun group of engineers, were thrilled to pose with the Coupe, and Art and his family came by to plan their future Type 65 Coupe.

The Coupe’s growing popularity is starting to rival the Mk4 Roadster. Factory Five President Dave Smith has mentioned that the Type 65 Coupe is his favorite car. We love seeing our customers enjoy the Coupe!

Westley B. Graduates his Type 65 Coupe Build!

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Westley B. from Virginia on graduating his Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe build! Westley received his Coupe kit in late Summer 2024, and said it was a fun journey. Westley installed a Scott Shafiroff 427ci small block Ford in his Type 65 Coupe along with options like hydraulic clutch, IRS, power steering, GPS vintage gauges, low back race vintage race seats, powder coated frame, Wilwood brakes, wipers, A/C-heater, side windows, front and rear sway bars, floormats, seat track, and polished side view mirror. Donny N. Builds Two Factory Fives

In 2020, customer Donny N. from Georgia started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build with his wife and kids. 4 years and 3 months later, they started work on their next Factory Five project, a Type 65 Coupe! “My first build was a MK4 Roadster powered by a Coyote Gen 2 with a TKO600, IRS, and Wilwood brakes,” wrote Donny N. “This time, I built a Type 65 Coupe with a Gen 3 Coyote, T56 transmission, IRS, and Wilwood brakes.” Check out this reel of Donny’s two Factory Five builds with his family.
