Austin Hatcher Foundation Type 65 Coupe Build is Ready for SEMA!

The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer has partnered with Factory Five Racing for 5 years to raise awareness and vital support for families facing childhood cancer.

Three Factory Five cars built by the foundation have debuted at the SEMA Show. The program’s first Mk4 Roadster sold last year at Mecum Auctions for $110,000, and subsequent Type 65 Coupe sold on Bring a Trailer for $137,500. Payment from the winning bidder will be made directly to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, a 501(c)(3) organization and SEMA Cares partner.

The Factory Five Type 65 Coupe build is being overseen and nut & bolt by automotive professionals with the help of pediatric cancer patients through the Foundation’s Industrial Arts Therapy Program. Now complete, the car will debut in our SEMA booth before going up for online auction, with all proceeds benefiting families affected by pediatric cancer.

This year’s Factory Five Type 65 Coupe is powered by a 5.0L Gen 3 Coyote V8 paired with a Tremec TKX 5-speed, on a custom Ridetech Air Ride system with Wilwood brakes and Schott 18” wheels and BFGoodrich G-Force Rival S tires. Finished in Sikken paint by Thompson Truck Group with a fully custom interior by Fully Loaded Interiors, this Coupe is the perfect blend!

Right now, the finishing touches are being added to the car to be displayed at SEMA and then listed for online auction to support free therapies for families facing pediatric cancer. More info on this year’s build can be found here: https://www.hatcherfoundation.org/automotive
