Jim’s Hot Rod Build: Revving Up for 2025

As we welcome the new year, Jim L. from Placitas, NM celebrates his eye-catching ’33 Hot Rod build – Chassis #1047. This car has been a true labor of love, completed after four years of hard work and dedication. Finished in 2019 Corvette GrandSport Racing Yellow and powered by a GM LS3 6.2L engine, it’s ready for the road!

Jim says, “after watching American Graffiti way too many times, I needed to get the same license plate number (THX138) that John Milner had on his yellow 32 Ford.”

Build Highlights:

  • LS3 6.2L engine with BBK ceramic-coated headers
  • GearStar 4L65e transmission
  • FFR kit upgrades including IRS, Vintage Air A/C, and 13″ brake kit
  • Custom touches: Mazda Miata seats, American Racing TorqThrust wheels, Borla mufflers, Vibrant resonators, and more!

“I get lots of thumbs up whenever I drive it. Lots of people come by at the car shows and Car & Coffee meets. A big thank you to Chris Pischel (@4c_garage) for the photos. Looking forward to more fun in 2025!”

Happy New Year to the FFR community!
