Happy Thanksgiving from the Factory Five Team!

DSC_8638Thanksgiving always has special meaning here in Massachusetts, since this is where the whole party got started back in 1620! This year, in particular, is one to reflect upon our many blessings.

We’ve accomplished a lot in 2015, and as we race towards the end of our 20th Anniversary year, it’s impossible for me to find words to describe my gratitude to everyone. Gratitude for the chance to have built so many great things over the years! Grateful for the friends we’ve made along the way. Grateful for the remarkable stories and for the amazing cars for sure, but grateful also for the chance to work for and to serve such inspirational customers.

Mostly though, I stand in awe at the accomplishments and hard work of so many Americans who have come before us, and upon whose work, we are honored to build.

The Factory Five community is defined by the idea of building things. We build cars, we build friendships, we build family heirlooms and stories that will outlive us. I don’t have a better way of saying thanks than to continue doing this!

On behalf of the great people of Factory Five Racing, I wish you a peaceful Thanksgiving!

DSC_8628

The 2015 SEMA Show was a huge success! It was also a homecoming of sorts as tons of Factory Five customers visited us throughout the four-day show. The Factory Five booth showcased the 20th Anniversary Mk4 Roadster, the new 818 Coupe, a beautiful ’33 Hot Rod built by customer Rod Bennett, and a race GTM built by customer John Kabacinski. We also showed off our ’33 Hot Rod rolling chassis featuring the new 2015 Mustang IRS and Ford’s EcoBoost 6 engine. Click here for tons of photos and videos from SEMA 2015.

Soaking Up the Sun at the Emerald Coast CruiZin’

The week after the big SEMA Show, we headed south to join Factory Five customers in the Southeast region at the Emerald Coast CruiZin’ event held in Panama City, FL. The event was a blast, and we had a chance to re-connect with folks in the Florida-Georgia region. We took tons of pictures, had our cars on the main stage, and had a blast! Click here for more photos from the event.

New Factory Five Trailers on Track to Launch in January 2016

DSC_7490

As we mentioned in our last e-mail newsletter, we’ve been working hard to configure three aluminum trailers for Factory Five customers.

We’ve been buying trailers to transport Factory Five cars to shows and races for 20 years, and in that time, we’ve learned EVERYTHING about what to buy and what not to buy in a car trailer.

By the end of the year, we will be launching an all-new line of aluminum race trailers. We will be offering an 18′ open trailer, and two enclosed trailer models in 20′ and 24′ lengths.

This week, we received our latest shipment and have approved the final designs. Full details, pricing, and availability will be on our website soon.

Beautiful Type 65 Coupe from Customer Bob T.!

bob-t-coupe

Congratulations to Factory Five customer Bob T. from Columbia, TN who completed his Type 65 Coupe build earlier this year! Bob drove over 1,100 miles round trip to pick-up his kit in January 2012, battling a few snow storms in the process. The car was finished this past year, and Bob reports that he is enjoying driving the car! Most guys finish their Coupes in blue and white livery (which is always beautiful), but it’s nice to see a well-built Coupe in another color. You can talk to customers like Bob, who are building Factory Fives online, if you log onto The Factory Five Forum.

Bill B. Shares an Update on His Mk5 Build

Every build has a story—but some take a lifetime to begin. After decades as a technician, engineer, and business owner—building companies, leading teams, and designing critical communications systems across New England—I decided at 50 to return to where it all started: a passion for cars. That decision became Blue Hills Customs. This MK5 Roadster is more than a project—it’s the first expression of a vision to create ultra-premium, one-off roadsters that blend classic design with modern performance and reliability. Factory Five Racing provided the perfect canvas. The MK5 isn’t just a kit—it’s a foundation that allows builders to bring something truly… Read More »
