GoodGuys Gazette June 2012 Issue Features Factory Five Customer Wins

Factory Five customers have been going to GoodGuys shows more and more over the years and with that, Factory Fives are winning more awards at both the car show and autocross events.  In the June 2012 issue of GoodGuys Goodtimes Gazette, Factory Five customers are featured for a couple of recent wins at GoodGuys spring car shows.

Factory Five 25-year-old customers Allie and Kyle Hanson from Clinton, UT drove their ’33 Hot Rod to the GoodGuys Scottsdale, AZ show and won the Young Guys pick.

Later on in the issue, Factory Five customer Dennis Russell and his buddy Ike Crouch were featured for their win at the GoodGuys Fort Worth, TX autocross where they won 1st place in the Hot Rod class.  Dennis and Ike’s road trip also got mentioned in the write-up.  The drove the FFR ’33 to four events – Scottsdale, Texas, Pleasanton, and rounding things out at Del Mar where Factory Five customer Erik Hansen took home 1st place at the autocross competition.

Mark S. Graduates His Mk4 & Scores Magazine Cover!

Congratulations to customer Mark S. on graduating his Mk4 Roadster build! Mark came for a tour of Factory Five in March 2020 to meet Dave Smith and the team. After returning home to the United Kingdom, Mark ordered his Mk4, and it arrived at his garage in February 2021.  Marks good friend, neighbor, and fellow car enthusiast, Stuart H, helpedwith the build which featured a Gen 3 5.0L Coyote, Tremec TKO transmission, 8.8″ solid axle with 3-link rear suspension, 18″ Halibrand wheels, and of course, it had to be in right hand drive. Factory Five is Closed Today, Monday January 26, 2026.

I made the call to scrub FFR operations for the day. The drive in wasn’t bad, and most roads are clear.
