Factory Five again hosted the Street Rodder Magazine Road Tour here at our headquarters in Wareham, MA. Street Rodder’s Jerry Dixey and Factory Five’s Sally Bean have collaborated for the past five years, and it’s become a fun, low-key day with some great folks. Here are some pictures of the morning as the road tour stopped in Wareham as part of a greater New England tour that ends this weekend at the Right Coast Nationals in Syracuse, NY.
Factory Five’s Sally Bean and Street Rodder’s Jerry Dixey had a nice morning planned here at the factory.
A good variety of cars began arriving at 9 am under cloudy skies with mild temperatures in the 70s.
This sweet Nomad was one of about 15 cars on the New England leg of the tour.

Everyone had a chance to hang out in the showroom and try on a few cars for size before the tour started.

Always fun to show off the laser cutter machine. It was cutting a .040″ aluminum sheet.
The welding shop is the first manufacturing step in the process.
Composite molding follows the welding area and guests got a chance to watch Molding Lead Person Kyle B. using the CNC trimming robot to cut door panels.
Dave and Freddy describe the Chassis Assembly area where the frames meet the composite bodies. on this day, we were building two Mk4 Roadsters, an 818S, and an 818C.
The rest of what goes into each Factory Five kit is stored in the warehouse and packaging areas.
Despite the threatening skies, we were able to take the Mk4 Roadster out for a group picture.

Dave gave a test drive to a youngster who was on the tour with his dad.
The Road Tour cars come in all different shapes and sizes from vintage street rods to muscle cars and a cool 850 rwhp Factory Five Coupe.
