The Rays Get Ready to Cruise the Island

Richard and Travis Ray finish up a father-son build with a little 1960s and a little 2000s styling.

This morning, we were paid a visit from Richard and Travis who just finished getting their Mk3.1 Roadster registered.  Since they live on Nantucket, they trailered the car over on the ferry and are heading back this afternoon, but not before stopping by it’s birth place in Wareham.

Richard and Travis purchased their Mk3.1 complete kit back in 2009 and built the car in two years.  It features a 427 engine, 15″ 5 lug vintage AC3 wheels with 11.65″ rear brakes, and the Factory Five electronic gauge kit.  The car was painted locally at Dartmouth Collision.

Congratulations on a great build guys!  Have fun driving around the island and hope you make it over for Open House in June!
