Factory Five Customer Richard R’s Daughter’s Roadster Proposal

It was almost two years ago that we did a story on Richard and Travis Ray finishing up their Mk3.1 Roadster build. They had just finished getting it registered before stopping by Factory Five on their way home to Nantucket. Read the story here.

Richard e-mailed us the other day to share the news of his daughter Hillary’s engagement last fall. Richard’s now future son-in-law borrowed his Factory Fve Roadster for the special day and they arranged for a photographer to be on hand to capture the moment.

Thanks to the Ray family for sharing this great story, and we’re glad to see the Roadster being a part of the family!

He Sold His Dream Car to Take Care of His Family. Now, He’s Building a Mk5 with Them!

Some stories come full circle, and Jason K.’s is a great example. Jason bought his first Factory Five Mk1 Roadster, kit #1413, in May 1998 at just 24 years old.
